Remedial Massage

Remedial therapy was my gateway into the Western frameworks of health, marking my transition from the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Remedial Massage and Asian Medicine I had studied, taught, and practiced previously. Shifting me from knowledge of energetic systems to anatomical systems.

Remedial massage set me on the path to Myotherapy it taught me therapeutic techniques such as Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point therapy, stretching, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Techniques, and much more.

As a Remedial Massage Therapist, I worked here in my clinic, but also taught in several colleges around Brisbane. Being a teacher meant I had to know my stuff. I also supervised the students in their practical clinics. This meant my experience in clinical assessment and treatment increased rapidly as I oversaw the assessment and treatment of my students and their clients.

So, what does that mean for you when you come to my clinic? It means that I have enough experience and knowledge as a remedial therapist to assess quickly and get onto treatment without delay. I know that remedial is a part of the health system, but you still came for a massage, and the conversation is just a bonus.
